The Robert E. Howard Home and Museum

Living Room

Looking into the Howard's living room from the hallway.  The window on the right looks out into the front yard and Fourth Street, while the window on the left looks westward towards the dirt road (Coffman Street).  Several of the paintings here were actually owned by the Howards.  They were recovered and donated to the Howard Museum by L. Sprague and Catherine deCamp.

When Bob Howard was still a teenager, Dr. Howard went to New Orleans to take some continuing education classes.  Bob accompanied his father, and while in New Orleans he found and bought this bust of Cleopatra.  This also was recovered and donated to the Howard Museum by the deCamps.  It is now displayed in the Howard living room.

Another view of the Howard living room.  The large doorway looks southward into the dining room, and the curtains on the right are from the windows looking westward onto the dirt road (Coffman Street).  In this photo, the doorway leading into the hallway lies off camera to the left.
